God wants you to explore the hidden sins in your heart, not because He delights in you feeling guilty, but because He hates the destruction sin brings and wants to set you free. He delights in forgiving and freeing you from the guilt and power of sin, but that cannot happen as long as you're hiding sin from yourself and Him.
I read this today in BSF “ No one realizes their need of Jesus as Savior without first acknowledging their inability to live up to God’s righteous standards.”
