God is Faithful

Want a clear example of this truth? Read Genesis 38. Judah's family was quite dysfunctional, to say the least, but God remained faithful to His promises and brought the Messiah (a.k.a., Jeshua, Jesus, the Lion of Judah) through the descendants of Judah and Tamar, despite their faithless, manipulative ways.

I don't know about you, but I know I've taken God's matters into my own hands on more than one occasion. But I'm God's child, and He will remain faithful despite my faithless, manipulative ways.

This should be very encouraging to anyone who has received Jesus as their personal Savior, because to receive Him is to become God's child. John 1:12-13 (NIV): "Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God."

If you are God's child, run to God as a child runs to his/her loving father. Trust His faithfulness to forgive and restore you and to work all things together for your good and His glory (Romans 8:28-30).

If you're not 100% sure that you're a child of God, ask God to give you assurance based on His promises. Here's a video you might find helpful: https://youtu.be/OZvwylOL6L4?si=5iybD3hUi4X06yc1
