Trusting God Through Hardships

Trusting God doesn't mean we can't ask God hard questions. It means that we are willing to accept His answers, even if He chooses to answer different questions than the ones we asked. It means believing that He exists and rewards those who humbly, earnestly seek Him. (See Hebrews 11, especially v. 6). It means believing God is Sovereign and Good, even when we don't understand why He allows suffering. He is God and has an eternal perspective that we cannot fully comprehend.
I hope you'll take the time to read the entire book of Job to see how God answers Job's questions (near the end). Here are some videos that you might find helpful:
An overview of the book of Job (10-ish minutes), by The Bible Project: https://youtu.be/xQwnH8th_fs?si=ZMJnXzeGN9-HQebV
The Bible Recap: https://youtu.be/LPzYYTBHQxM?si=nXKv_pIKih_Kgngu

I love the Bible Recap that reiterates the definition of what it means to say that God is sovereign. My BSF Bible study defines God’s sovereignty the same way on page 119 as “God alone controls everything…God determines the outcome of all things according to His wise purposes. God controls and guides all events for His glory and our good.”
